Liquid Nitrogen Trick

MORE INFO AND THE LINK AFTER THE BREAK!

You can safely stick your hand in liquid nitrogen...but you probably shouldn't!!

This is crazy! I remember in elementary school when these scientists would come and do a presentation/show for the entire school and they would drop bouncy balls in liquid nitrogen then toss them in the air as everyone watched them shatter as they hit the floor.

"a liquid that comes into contact with something much hotter than itself forms an insulating layer of vapor to prevent the liquid from immediately boiling.  This vapor layer provided short-term protection for his hand against the dangerously cold liquid nitrogen, allowing him to safely place his hand in the liquid nitrogen again and again - although only for a split-second each time."

I can't believe this guy actually had the guts to shove his hand in there!!!!

p.s. take their suggestion and don't try this at home!
